This is an awesome Magic Bullet treat that I discovered. It is something like a very thick milkshake, only no milk or cream or ice cream has to be added – I use Original Almond Milk. The base is actually frozen ripe bananas, which, when blended give a soft-serve consistency.

For a single serving you will need:

  • A Magic Bullet or similar
  • 2 frozen bananas per serving
  • 3 tbsp Nutella
  • 3 tbsp smooth peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp milk, or almond/rice/soy milk; whatever you prefer
  • splash of vanilla extract

All you need to do it place all the ingredients into the Magic Bullet, pulse several times until it is a thick, creamy consistency (sometimes I have to take it off and stir it with a spoon a little to make sure all the banana pieces are blended). Pour into a bowl and eat with a spoon, or drink it like a milkshake.

*Tips for freezing bananas:
Freeze bananas only when they are fully ripe and the peel is entirely yellow, even with a few bits of brown on it. If you freeze them while there is any green left on the peel they will become very bitter.
When freezing them, peel the bananas, break into small chunks, and place in a sealed container, like a Tupperware, and then into the freezer.
It is best if they are frozen at minimum over night, and they keep in the freezer for up to 6 months.
The color of the bananas when you remove them from the freezer will be slightly brown. This is due to oxidization (oxygen touching them) and does not mean that they are rotten or have spoiled.
